Stormgate was one of the most popular games during Steam Next fest, regularly crashing Frost Giant's servers as they struggled to keep up with demand!
However, with the Steam Next Fest closing, that means that Stormgate will be closing it's doors to the public and restricting the game to Kickstarter backers and people that had already been included in a previous test. Not to worry, though - they've provided two methods to allow people to get their fix in the mean time!
They've also annoucned a balance patch will be coming soon (hopefully before the second weekend of the EGC Tournament!) to address some of the latent balance concerns that have cropped up in the current test.
Frost Giant announced in their most recent community update that, while access was being removed for players from the Steam Next Fest, players would have the opportunity to purchase a late Kickstarter pledge and play the game that way. We don't have a date on when that will open up, but Frost Giant has stated that they are aiming for an announcement "within the next week" as of 2/12/2024.
The other awesome piece of news is that Stormgate will not be under NDA for the rest of the playtest - which means your favorite streamers and content creators will be able to stream and create content up until March 11, one month from now. This also means that you can continue to talk about the game and share your thoughts and experiences.
