Yesterday, Frost Giant lifted the embargo they had placed on content creators about the Community Summit that took place on May 23. Creators from Age Of Empires, Starcraft, Warcraft, and others all gave their opinions about the concept art, in-game screenshots, and gameplay footage we were shown at the event, but the biggest news was that there is now a date for the first gameplay reveal ahead of the pre-alpha starting in mid-July.
Storied Ground
Last year, Frost Giant double dipped in one of gamings most exciting weeks - showcasing their hype trailer at the Summer Games Fest before Tim Morten sat down with RTS legend Sean 'Day[9]' Plott to discuss a couple more specifics about their vision for the game at the PC Gaming Show several days later. In the following year, we've received all kinds of updates - about the engine development, rollback netcode, mass observing, new lore, and all kinds of other tidbits.
This year, though, Frost Giant returns to the PC Gaming Show with the single most hotly anticipated step in their development thus far - gameplay. Creators were shown an in-production screening of the gameplay reveal, but no one has seen the final product that will be shown for the first time on June 11. There are certainly some interesting ideas that haven't been discussed in any content yet, so it's going to be interesting to see what you all think!
How to Watch
The PC Gaming Show will air at 1:00 PM PDT / 4:00 PM EDT / 9:00 PM BST / 10:00 PM CEST on Sunday, June 11 on the PC Gamer Twitch channel, YouTube, Twitch Gaming, Steam, and Bilibili.
